About Selah

A pause for reflection.

The word

"Selah" — a Hebrew pause mark woven through the Psalms. A moment to stop. To reflect. To let the word sink in before moving on.

The app

Selah gives you that pause, with the depth and direction to make it transformative. Custom devotions built around your sermon, your questions, your life.

The details

We built Selah from a frustration we kept hearing, and living ourselves. Sunday after Sunday, we'd leave church moved by a word, a passage, a question the sermon stirred up. And then life happened. By Tuesday, the clarity was gone.

Our pastor would say, "Go back and check it." We wanted to. But knowing how to study scripture, really study it, was something we'd never been taught. So we'd search online, wade through generic devotionals that had nothing to do with where we were, and eventually give up.

We talked to believers. We talked to pastors. Everyone knew the gap. Nobody had filled it. So we spent months researching: biblical study methodology, devotional design, and how AI could be trained, not on generic content, but on millions of real devotionals, to meet someone exactly where they are.

What emerged is Selah. Not a devotional app that tells you what to think. An app that listens to your sermon, your questions, your needs, and builds a personalized study experience around them.
