Main message: God's wisdom is different from human wisdom because it is united with omnipotence; he often allows or brings weakness into our lives so that we stop trusting ourselves and learn to depend on Christ, in whom real strength is found.

• Human wisdom can be sound yet frustrated because humans lack the power to ensure its outcome (illustrated by Ahyhel and Hushai in 2 Samuel 17).
