• Jesus’ response to bad news is “Don’t be afraid; just believe,” calling believers to faith rather than fear when circumstances worsen.
• An interruption (the woman with the issue of blood) delays Jesus’ arrival, teaching patience and that God’s timing may include detours for others’ needs.
• Jesus excludes unbelieving mourners, brings only a few trusted disciples in, then speaks one word and the girl is raised — resurrection is immediate and authoritative.
• Resurrection includes restoration: after being raised, the girl is given something to eat; God not only revives what’s dead but restores strength and function.
