Stop Looking for a New Word | Dr. Irishea Hilliard

Main message: The Bible is the authoritative, Spirit-breathed guide for believers; we must let Scripture govern our words, actions, and expectations of divine communication rather than chasing new revelations that don't line up with God's Word.

Key points:

• Scripture is inspired and intended to explain how God operates, so it's not a mystery we can't understand.
• Prophecies and words claimed from God must line up with Scripture "in precept or example."
• Psalm 119:105 shows God's Word gives direction for decisions and daily life.
• Obedience to Scripture disciplines the flesh and keeps us aligned to hear God more clearly.
• The Bible also protects us from condemnation and trains our spiritual discernment—don't seek a new word if you haven't obeyed the first.

Scriptures mentioned: Psalm 119:105, Romans 7:18, Romans 8:1
