"Still Standing" | Dr. Jennifer Carner

Main message: God is not intimidated by impossible odds — He is present with us in the middle of our struggles and will lead us across into our next season when we obey His commands and move forward without fear. The preacher's encouragement is that remembering God's past faithfulness and relying on His dynamic presence enables us to survive and thrive.

Key points:

• The sermon centers on Joshua 4:14: Israel stood in awe of Joshua as they had of Moses, showing leadership matters in seasons of transition.
• First, survive impossible odds by focusing on God’s command — the people moved only with the ark (God’s presence) leading them.
• God is present in the middle of the mess (the ark stood in the Jordan); He does not abandon us in crisis.
• Be fearless in crossing — after the ark was in the middle, it moved to the front and led the people into their next level.
• Remember and mark God’s past faithfulness (the piled stones) as both remembrance and resistance against repeating wounds.
