Peace in the Storms of Life - Louie Giglio

Main message: Jesus promises a peace that endures amid real trouble — not the absence of storms but the wholeness of being joined to him — because he has overcome the world. Believers can hold the reality of suffering and the reality of Christ’s victory at the same time.

• The promise of peace comes in the upper-room discourse (John 16): "In this world you will have trouble... take heart, I have overcome the world" — Jesus aims to give peace in him.
• Peace (Greek shalom) means oneness/wholeness — being joined to Jesus — so peace is his presence in the storm, not merely quiet circumstances.
