Our New Desires In The Spirit!

Main message: When you become a follower of Jesus, the Holy Spirit dwells in you and produces new desires and character (the fruit of the Spirit), even though the sinful nature remains; these qualities grow over time as you stay connected to God rather than by your own effort.

Key points:

• The Holy Spirit comes to live in believers and brings new desires that help us change.
• The sinful nature is not fully eradicated at conversion — it's still present.
• Paul lists nine "fruit of the Spirit" qualities (often grouped as three sets of three).
• These fruits are what God produces in us, not a checklist of things we must accomplish.
• They develop as we depend on God and continue walking in faith.
