Main message: God’s Word (wisdom) must be treasured, internalized, and carried with you daily so it can protect and guide you in the streets of life. Without that intimate connection to Scripture, you are vulnerable to temptation and self-destruction—Proverbs 7 illustrates the danger and the need for wisdom as your protector.

• Keep and treasure God’s commands—make the Word the “apple of your eye,” written on your heart and worn in every part of life.
• Wisdom is more than information; it’s the discernment to apply truth—Solomon urges making wisdom your “sister” and insight your close friend.
• The example in Proverbs 7 shows what happens when you leave the house “uncovered” by the Word: seduction, bad decisions, and ruin.
• Let Scripture be your daily reference point for relationships, work, finances, and moral choices—let it “order your steps.”
