Main message: Crowning Jesus as the true King, uniting under his rule, and relying on his power (not our own effort) enables God’s people to break strongholds and conquer the real enemies in our lives. Waiting, unity, and dependence on God are critical in moving from divided survival to kingdom conquest.

• Crown the right king: every heart has a throne; idols (money, approval, comfort, etc.) are false kings that enslave and lead to compromise and dead ends, while Jesus alone deserves and effects true allegiance.
• Waiting is not wasted: David’s years of waiting and ruling only Judah prepared him for all‑Israel; God’s timing trains and equips, not delays without purpose.
• Come together under the King: Israel’s conquest began only after the tribes united around David; Christians must link arms (small groups, community) and abandon rival allegiances so the church can advance.
• Conquer in the power of the King: David sought God’s guidance before battles; victories come by following God’s direction, not by self-reliance or experience. Our enemies are spiritual (sin, fear, addiction, bitterness, etc.), not merely people.
• Communion as remembrance: the Lord’s Supper points to Christ’s victory over death, hell, and the grave—the basis for our hope and power to overcome.
