Main message: God places a unique, divine calling on every follower of Jesus, and like Samuel we must position ourselves to hear it, allow mentors to help us discern it, and be ready to respond and act when God calls.

• You must position yourself near God (quiet, worship, study) so His voice can be heard amid life’s noise.
• Discernment is a process: God may call privately and repeatedly, and wrestling through uncertainty is part of being formed.
• God often provides spiritual guides (Eli figures) to help interpret and confirm His voice even when we cannot yet recognize it.
• When the call becomes clear, respond with readiness and obedience — be a doer of the word and multiply disciples.
