God's Blessing for His Own

Main message: Unfulfilled desires — both good and sinful — are a universal source of pain, but Scripture promises a coming time when every desire will be fully satisfied (no more hunger or thirst), giving hope amid present longing.

Key points:

• Everyone lives with unfulfilled desires, including beautiful longings like children, marriage, and meaningful careers.
• Christians also wrestle with sinful desires that cause guilt and unrest when denied.
• The Bible promises a future when there will be no unfulfilled desire — ultimate satisfaction and no hunger or thirst.
• That future satisfaction is hard to imagine from our present experience, but it offers hope for those enduring longing now.
• The preacher uses everyday examples (repeated trips to the refrigerator) to contrast fleeting earthly satisfaction with the completeness of future fulfillment.
