Escape Rooms & Faith pt.1

Main message: Followers of Jesus are forgiven by God's grace and freed to love and serve, but must beware reverting to a performance-based "escape room" mentality that treats salvation as a race to prove ourselves. That mindset leads to exhaustion and a perpetual sense of insufficiency.

Key points:

• Christian identity begins with being forgiven by God's grace.
• That forgiveness frees us to love, lead, and be used by God.
• Some return to an "escape room" way of thinking—rushing to find evidence of worth before time runs out.
• Common cultural view ("be good to get to heaven") fuels this performance mindset.
• The result is increased effort, exhaustion, and never feeling like what we do is enough.
