Echoing the Holy Spirit | Sandals Church LIVE

Main message: The Holy Spirit lives in every believer and is actively speaking and empowering the church; our job is to listen, “echo” back what the Spirit says, and use the gifts he gives to serve, encourage, and build up others. The gifts (tongues, prophecy, words of knowledge/wisdom, prayer, worship, healing, etc.) are distributed by the Spirit and should be pursued and practiced with discernment, not forced or used to judge others.

• All believers have been baptized into the body by one Spirit (1 Cor 12:13); we need regular fillings of the Spirit (Acts 4:31) — Sunday gatherings help refill us.
• “Learning to echo”: hear what the Holy Spirit is saying in worship, prayer, and gatherings, then speak it back rather than imposing personal opinions.

• The Spirit helps our prayer life (Rom 8:26), inspires worship (Eph 5:19), empowers healing (James 5), and even shares resurrection power (Rom 8:11); expect God to act but be humble about outcomes.
