• The prayer of Jabez (1 Chronicles 4:9-10) shows God granted the request, but Jabez's honor, character, and motives preceded the blessing.
• Being "in Christ" gives a positional blessing (Ephesians 1:3), but accessing blessings requires a clear channel—purity of heart, right motives, repentance, obedience, trust, waiting, and thanksgiving.
• Purity of heart (Matthew 5:8; Psalm 1:1-3) means honest motives and willingness to confess and change—not perfection; unclogging the heart (forgiveness, humility) lets blessings flow.
